No. 3 “The Chrysalis”

In numbered and limited series.

The designer makes each piece entirely handmade in Limoges porcelain in the atelier in Provence.

Piece by piece, each curve is patiently drawn, sculpted, refined and meticulously polished.

This creation requires a particular treatment and must be realized in 3 firings in the respect of the Arts of the Fire in a kiln with High Temperature: First of all the first firing, «the Dégourdie» 980°, followed by the enamelling and the second firing, «the vitrification» at 1370°C.

Finally it is the precious moment of the delicate laying of the liquid gold paint with a brush, which will be fired in the third fire..

- Scarab pendant in Limoges porcelain, entirely handmade in our atelier in Provence. Enameled porcelain and ornamented with touches of liquid gold (luster)

- Weight of the piece: around 1,5 g

- Size of the piece: diameter around 10 mm

- Porcelain medallion with the emblem of Héliora and numbered on the back

- The scarab is worn on a 14 carats gold filled chain, 1.50 mm and 45 cm long and closes with a spring ring

Gold filled 14 Carats

Gold-filled 14 Carats is the strongest form of gold plating. It is therefore more valuable than gold-plated. Gold-filled contains 50 to 100 times more gold than gold-plated jewelry. Using a combination of pressure and heat, gold-filled jewelry is made by coating a metal base with a solid layer of 14 carats gold.

Gold-filled jewelry is therefore much more durable than traditional gilding if care is taken.

The pieces are made in small limited series and numbered, that’s why the scarab you choose will be a unique piece.

Each piece wears its own certificate of authenticity of the House.

Its medallion is signed and has its own unique serial number.

Any small difference should be considered as a special character of the object. Its color and shape may vary slightly.

To create the piece and ship the necklace, it takes about 2 weeks of work.

All of Héliora’s handmade pieces are meant to be carried on through the ages.

The designer advises you to have little habits that will prolong its life:

- Avoid contact with perfumes and cosmetics.

- Remove your jewelry before swimming, sports, showering and sleeping, which reduces tension and accumulation on the metal.

- Always protect your jewelry in a safe, clean and dry place, ideally in its original packaging.

To preserve the shine of your jewelry, you can regularly use a polishing cloth (to which you can add soap and water) to make the white of the porcelain shine and to give the gold a new luster.
